Heard this awesome song a long time which tells the above story in song, and the chorus goes something like:

Have mercy O God, According to your steadfast love, according to your great compassion, blot out my many transgressions and wash away all my iniquity, cleanse me from sin.

Haven't been able to track down the verses at all, any help would be appreciated.
