Rock can have a great message. Think of Third Day, Skillet, ApologetiX, P.O.D., all rock bands but they're all Christian. I most definitely reccomend P.O.D. (www.payableondeath.com), ApologetiX (parody band!!! www.ApologetiX.com), Skillet, Switchfoot (www.switchfoot.com). ApologetiX does parodies of mostly rock. They do some disco and country too though. But the songs are so hilarious and still carry the salvation message which is great. If they're coming to your area, GO SEE THEM. Tickets are generally 10 bucks if you get them online. If you want to hear some of their parodies, check out their myspace or listen to my backgroudn music on my site www.freewebs.com/apologetixfanatix :) hope I helped ya.

christian rock is just what it sounds like, christian. But secular rock is, well, secular.

And I am not particularly fond of heavy metal, no offense.
