Well I'm no expert, but maybe if you just - very careful so as not to tread on his toes, try to get him to understand that it won't help him cope in the end. And also if you just stick by him and support him.
Well just tlk to him, and tell him about his savior, and that he will help him in his time of need, and you will stick by him right now. so just stay by your friend, and if he doesnt know god, and believe in him, then invite him to church, or tell him about god.
hey! I think you need to pray for your friend more than ever coz the Holy Spirit is able to reach people in a far better and more effecient way than we can. YOu can talk to him all you want but unless you ask God to intervein then your efforts will fall short in the end. Proverbs 3 vs 5-6 says to trust in the Lord and not lean on your own understanding and to commit your ways to God always and He will direct your path. That's exactly what you need to do right now. Trust that God will begin to move in your friends life and commit anything or any efforts you plan on making towards helping him to God so that He can show you how to go about it. Most of all I ask that you pray for him coz there's no greater way to reaching someone's heart except through prayer. The Holy Spirit will convict him and the more you pray for him the more you will make it easier for God to use you and to move in your friend's life. Find key scriptures that you can pray over his life e.g Psalm 34 vs 19-20, Isiah 7vs9, 2 Corinthians10vs 15, Nehemiah 8 vs 10 ( the joy of the Lord is his strength). I hope this will help you.
You have a lot of good things to say...I think that whatever happens in your life, your life was worth it because through your words you will have made a lot of people's lives brighter..It has mine.
Hey Awayla and Richie! Thanx for the kind words I appreciate them. I played with my life a lot, until I got to the point where I realised that I was tired of being a baby Christian, of backsliding all the time and I wanted to know God more. I was tired of always looking for a shoulder to cry on and I wanted God to use me to be a shoulder for someone else. I realised that disobedience delays the work of God in my life and that I needed to stop being playful with the things of God and realise that there is a calling upon my life and become serious coz there are so many people on God's heart that He wants to touch through me. But don't get me wrong I still have fun and I still joke around but now I know that I should be about my Father's business for I am in this world but I am not of it (forgot the scripture reference). The bible says that "You annoint my head with oil; my cup overflows" (Psalm 23 vs 5) and it is through that overflow that others get blessed. The more I know Him the more I can share what I know and have with others so that they can desire Him and His word and know Him also. I realised that God has no age limit or minimum age and that I was lying to myself by saying that God would use me when I'm older, He wants to use me now! I just had to take a step towards Him and He took two towards me and that's how I got to where I am! (Proverbs 4vs5-6) Wisdom is key!
Man...I really hope that people in ur life listen to you. I do have a question..I just bought a $60 bible and it is a King James version..what version do you recommend..i heard that they all say different things, is this true?
Well... Bibles are all the same to me. They say the same thing but in different ways. But my advice is find one that you find easy to understand. There's nothing wrong with having two bibles. Mine is the New Revised Standard Version. Its my first bible, I love it dearly. The bible says "In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3 vs 6). Talk to God, He's concerned with every aspect of your life, even with what kind of bible you have. He'll show you which one to pick out. And when He talks to you, you'll know.
