Wow. That's actually a really good question/point. I live in New Zealand so I know exactly what you mean. I know a lot of bands from all over the world, but often i find americans are limited to mostly american bands.

Can't make us Americans look too bad.... Starters...The Newsboys Originated in Australia I believe but, if that one doesn't count, Mortiftcation is based in Australia, they are a christian metal band that has been around for about 16 years I believe. They are under Rowe Productions which if I'm not mistaken was started by there band leader Mike Rowe. There is also Metanoia which was under Rowe Productions but I haven't heard much from them in a while. I have their CD "Don't Walk Dead." They are also a Christian Metal Band. How is that for a start?

Personally I'm a huge fan of Blindside, from Sweden, and there are a lot of other groups internationally that I like. But yeah, I do find myself liking a lot of American bands simply because I don't get the visibility of international bands nearly as much (ie radio etc)

Have any of you heard of either Detour 180 or The Lads? They're sort of local bands that recently made a break into the states and i know that Detour 180 play on Air 1 and i was wondering if anyone had actually got the chance to hear them?
