THE MAN

He walked into the room,
without saying a word-
Or even nodding His head!

He walked right up to me,
and looked me in the eyes-
Then He motioned for me,
to follow Him, outside!

I could tell by His stature,
that He could handle, any situation-
And by the scars on His hands,
I knew He had!

His demeanor, caught me-
oh, it caught me offguard-
But, the need to follow Him,
replaced the worry, I had felt!

The light outside was pretty dim-
but, when I turned around,
to face this Man-
He seemed to have a glow!

It was then that I got scared-
but when He put His hand,
That scarred hand on my shoulder-
my fear turned to trust!

With His hand on my shoulder,
He touched my chest with the other-
and then, He just smiled!
And as my eyes met His,
I knew my life had changed!

The Man didn't utter a word,
but nor did He have to-
For in my heart I knew,
He had come to save me!

As I wiped those tears-
those tears of joy, from my eyes-
I looked up to tell the Man,
--thank You--
But, He was no where, in sight!

I began to panic,
as I looked everywhere for Him-
But, just as I was giving up,
hope of ever finding Him-

I put my hand to my chest,
just to catch a breath-
And it was at that moment-
that very moment, I knew-

The Man was in my heart!
