k, i feel like a dork for posting so much, but i think someone needs to throw this out there.
we, as christian teens and young adults, need to really stick together. i say this because things look like their going down the drain, i.e. morals, secular music, religious tolerance, even the christian community is beggining to grow corrupt!!! the worship is often fake, done just for show, we judge others to often, i know some people who claim to be christians, then go to school and cuss more than anyone else, or talk about a party they went to and wat they did at that party!!! now, i'm not saying ditch your non-christian friends, but at least TRY to minister to them. if they won't listen set boundries, like if they start swearing, click out of the discussion.
i feel like something is about to happen, and after that all christians will have is each other.
please post on this guys, i know it sounds odd, but i feel very strongly about this!!!!!!!!!!!

    i know you mean.
It saddens me to see so many young Christians living exactly the same as non-Christian, in regards to language and "activities" and drinking/drunkenness, etc...

No wonder many people disregard Christianity- even it's followers and living by the guidelines.
(Although there are those who live by the guidelines, they don't all necessarily see it that way)

i have to agree with God's performer94. most people won't be christians because they see how fake some of them are. but there are radicals and hypocrites in EVERY religion if you look. not that christianity is a religion. it's a faith. religion is human righteousness trying to work it's way to God and heaven. Faith is God stooping down to save us from ourselves because He loves us so much that He will save us if we only will ask. its in the Bible. look it up. some people get confused about judging people. they think that judging people is evil. and it is if you ask people to live their lives better than you are capable of yourself. for the same measure you use against others will be used against you. but there is a point where not judging is a sin. it's called tolerance. David did not tolerate Goliath blaspheming his God. just because Goliath didn't belive in his God didn't mean that david had to love Goliath. in the book of Revelation, the people who do not tolerate Christians and Christ, God does not tolerate. He sends them to hell.

what are you saying sparky? i'm a radical christian.
i don't kill people for being unfaithfull to God, but i'm still very radical.(lol, don't flip or anything!)
    and Christianity is a life-style.
if you truly believe it, you live it.
about judging, you should not be completely tolerant to sin, but judging is God's job.
he does many things through humans, but i don't think he does that.
furthermore, it is their choice to sin.
if they want to go to hell, it's not ok with me, but i'm going to have to deal with it anyway.
am i makin' any sense to anyone here?

You both make sense to me.

There is 2 (or more) types of being "radical". There is a good radical, which is people living as the Bible says, in love & caring, not hurting anyone, and loving God.
And then there is the bad radical, in which people go & kill all non-Christians, and others who blaspheme. (Without God's saying to).

Now, some may say "but, what about in the OT? People killed each other. E.g. Elijah killed the prophets of Baal."
My (personal) answer is that we are living under a different covenant, where Jesus has "cover" and taken away our sin, and thus God doesn't punish us (unless we die not believing).

I also believe there are at least 2 categories of judging. They are often confused.
Are we able to judge other religions as bad/good, wrong/right? Well, yes. God has made that judgement for us, and told us.
Are we able to judge other people and condemn them to hell? No. That is God's position, he has not told us who (specifically) is going to heaven or hell- we only know OUR relationship to God.

I view tolerance as a judgement that something is not ideal, but accepting others' right to think it's OK.
E.g. I tolerate other people swearing.

Yes, David did NOT tolerate Goliath's blaspheming. God told David to act, and kill Goliath.

I don't think we're called to judge people. But I believe that God has given us (in many areas) guidance to judge behaviours of people.
I.e. The Bible says that sexual immorality is wrong. So, someone who is sinning in that area IS doing wrong in God's opinion. HOWEVER, that does not mean that person isn't saved, or doesn't love God, or that God doesn't love them. It just means that they, like all of us, have sinned & need Jesus.
