yeah, they are a cool band. I saw them in concert with 12 Stones, Pillar, Big Dismal, and Grits, a few years back. They are a littler harder than I like -- at least at the time. But yeah, they're a good band.
Skillet was the first band I ever really listened to. My brothers got a free copy of their album 'Hey you, I love your soul' back in about 97/98. I still love it.
I saw Pillar, Skillet, 12 Stones, Big Dismal, and Grits together a few years ago in Hollywood...a ROCKIN concert! I went for Big Dismal personally (Sad they broke up), but 12 stones was good too.
I love Grits so much. I would have definately gone to that for Pillar, Skillet and Grits. (Sounds like the exact opposite of you). What little 12 stones I've heard, I've liked, but not quite enough to buy it. I may be thinking of the wrong group, but I seem to recall Big Dismal being too slow for my tastes, but it's only a vague memory.
Skillet are cool, i only have one of their albums which happens to be their self-titled album, and i haven't listened to it for ages, i may listen to it now, after By God has finished playing though
I saw them once, the drummer really stood out. The guy was using a double bass pedal and also using his sticks to hit the bass drum...So whats that? A quadrupal bass!?
I previewed some of their stuff. They sound great, I'm hoping to get their new album for Christmas. Anyone else have it?

i like where they are going...becoming more hardcore/emo. it makes them seem as if they are really getting into their music. I like it harder so i guess that is why i feel that way. they are ok but they still have a way to go before they become turely hardcore.
