I've been watching the tremendous outpouring in Lakeland FL, and one of the songs they do starts out with those words. I think that the name of the song MIGHT be "Dancing Generation" but I don't know who does it, and if it can be found on this site... any help would be appreciated
I know that song! (Usually when someone wants to know who sings, or what the lyrics are i have never heard of the song.). We sing it at church. You are right that it is called "Dancing Generation". And i believe it is by Matt Redman. He does such great songs...
I keep meaning to watch the Florida outpouring online (on God TV), but i keep forgetting to because it's on from 8:30pm my time. I watched part of it afew times. Sometimes clips are shown at church...
Yes, I'd love the lyrics... I'd like to submit the song to our worship leader to see if we could do it in our church. As for that FL outpouring, that can also be viewed on line @ www.god.tv & click on the appropriate links... there is also "God on Demand" whereby you can watch broadcasts from days & even weeks ago.
Your mercy taught us how to dance To celebrate with all we have And we'll dance to thank You for mercy
Your glory taught us how to shout To lift Your name in all the earth And we'll shout to the praise of Your glory
It's the overflow Of a forgiven soul And now we've seen You, God Our hearts cannot stay silent
And we'll be a dancing generation Dancing because of Your great mercy, Lord Your great mercy, Lord And we'll be a shouting generation Shouting because of Your great glory, Lord Your great glory, Lord

Thanks Emi. It took me a while to get back here. I copied the lyrics to a word document along with the url to the chords to submit to our church's worship leader. Have you gotten a chance to see any of the outpouring? They've moved back from the big tent to the original church where the revival started, at Ignited Church... maybe SOMEDAY I'll get to visit... or even better, our church succeeds at having such a move of God happen here in Pittsburgh... that'd be cool.
