    I have heard this song on a local radio station several times, & really enjoy it. This particular station has no commercials or DJ's, which is great to listen to uninterrupted music, not so great when they dont tell you the name of the artist or song. I've managed to get a copy of the song on cassette tape, the lyrics go like this;

    (vs # 1) There are many prodigal sons, on our city, streets they run, searching for shelter
    There are homes broken down, peoples hopes, have fallen to the ground, from failures
    This is an emergency
    (chorus) There are tears from the saints, for the lost and unsaved
    Were crying for them come back home, crying for them come back home
    All you children stretch out your hands, and pick up the crippled man
    Father we will lead them home, father we will lead them home
    (vs # 2 ) There are schools, full of hatred, even churches, have foresaken, love and mercy
    May we see, this generation, in its state, of desperation, for your glory
    This is an emergency

    (back to the chorus)

    (Bridge) Sinners reach out your hands, children in Christ you stand (repeat)
