yeah...its true....he used to say he was proud of being addicted to them and that got him in a lot of trouble.....but Jess, leave the videogames somewhere where u cant see them and do other things, theres plenty of places u can hide things in our house....but u wont necessarily get them back..lol

Well, you have admitted that you have a problem with video games. That is the first step. It's not that video games are bad, but anything that takes our primary focus off of God is. Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have "no other gods" before Me.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

It will require discipline. God will help you. Remember you are in a spiritual warfare. Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
Satans' primary goal is keep you from doing what you are called to do.

Replace video games with something else. Philippeans 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I will pray for you as well, God bless, Eva

When i feel like i'm spending too much time doing something, and it's consming my time and energy so that i don't have time (seemingly) for God or for other things i must do, i stop doing it temporarily.
SO, from my experience, i would recommend, a week (or however long you need to) without ANY video games. Spend that time you would usually spend playing with God- reading the bible, praying etc..
Kind of the same idea as fasting, although fasting is traditionally from food. But the idea of giving us something to spend that time with God is similar...

Anyhow, i've found that if i then gradually re-introduce the activity after i feel no more cravings for it, it doesn't control me. Then i do whtever it is when i feel like it, which isn't all the time.

I hope that made sense, and i hope i helps alittle.
