    Hey folks!

    We've got a great contest going on right now.

    What are the prizes?

    First place: $100 worth of merchandise from C28.com
    - We will also be mailing the first place winner a signed album of Christmas Songs by Jars of Clay -- which has yet to be released! You can download a promo mp3 that's from the album.

    Second place: $50 worth of merchandise from C28.com

    How do you win?

    You MUST be a member! You can register here.

    Starting from today, Oct. 5th 2007, going through Oct. 31st 2007, we will be running this contest.

    The contest winners will be chosen based on points that are accrued. You can gain points by any of the following actions --

    - Make a post in the community
    - Submit a song lyric (you get more points for this one!)
    - Correct a song lyric that is currently wrong (yeah...there are some :( )

    Based on those 3 actions, you can gain more points.

    REQUIREMENT: You must be an active member of the community and have an account with us in order to win.

    Winners will be announced on December 1st.

    I've only ever answered requests for lyrics.

    You can post lyrics by going to this page:

    That will let you submit any of the requests that we have in queue.

    I have six sets of lyrics that I could post right now but there's no requests. I do not want the prizes, I have enough. I just wish to add more lyrics to this site. Previously I was able to add lyrics from any song of His Love but that option has disappeared

    Matt,

    We have license agreements with specific record labels, which is why we can't just add every song lyric out there. I've search around for His Love, but I couldn't find much on it. Is that the band or the song name?

    Let me know what else you have in mind and I'll try to make it happen for you.

    As I am an active member who posts and submits...I was wondering if there's any way I can un-enter the contest?

    I too wish to not receive any points toward this contest. His love is not a band that I know of but can be found in the Word, inside yourself, and others in this community, to mention a few places in this world He created :-) I will send you a private message later on to tell you which lyrics I have, mostly mainstream from the radio as CDs are not in my budget at this time. I do appreciate what you have told me about not being able to add every song lyric out there.

    We are always appreciative of people to submit lyrics and add to the quality of the site :) We also like to offer an incentive to get other people involved, but we are always open to having more people just wanted to contribute :)

    (but there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a prize, that's why we have them available! :)

    So far EGS is winning with 125 submissions, but meabia15 is coming in a close second!

    awayla has some serious comment points too, so watch out :)
