There are a couple big concerts coming up this weekend. I'll be attending two of them. Shaun Groves is out in Pasadena, CA and The Afters are out at Valencia, CA. if anyone's in the area, you should come join us :)

For anyone wondering, The Afters concert was amazing! I had a great interview with them and Pillar played after them. Pillar was pretty good too. The Afters were better, in my opinion -- the venue was still new to hosting events and it didn't go exactly as planned. Overall it was funt though. I am leaving soon to go meet with Shaun Groves and then attend his concert after. Anyone in the area of Pasadena is welcome to come on over :)

    hi

it sounds great. Concerts here in NZ are a rarity.. Oncew I helped bring a few big bands here in NZ like Petra, and artist like margret becker and otehrs but now days the young people here here have gone all werid and are into techno music rather than prue annoited music

Amen, yeah it's hard to get bands out there. I know Anberlin is touring Australia and -- actually, New Zealand -- so keep an eye out for them, they have some good stuff out there :)

last week i heard my friend talking about Anberlin coiming to Pennsylvania.(but it's two hours away from where i live) i don't go to concerts all that much because 1) i'm a teenager and have to conform to my parent's plans, and i don't have the budget for it, and 2) i can't drive so i can't go to these concerts that are two hours away. but i did go to a Copeland concert at the christian college my dad works at last saturday. that was good, but it bugged me that they didn't talk about God in their songs, and they didn't talk about God in the concert.(but they did ask us how many of us were from pittspurgh, and if we wanted them to win the superbowl. this is because we live 3 or 4 hours away from pittspurgh.) i guess i'm just used to people talking about God at their concerts like Rebecca St. James, or Newsboys do.
i'm glad the Afters concert was good though. i've seen their music video, and it's my favorite right now.(i watch it over and over on my WOW 206 DVD.) i've also listened to all of their song clips on their website.

Yeah, it really depends on that kind of band they are. Switchfoot, I cannot recall or not, may have talked about God -- but really it just depends on how open a band is about their music and how much God is influenced into their music. That surprises me though, that Copeland would come play at a Christian college and then not talk about God at all. Yeah, the Afters were AMAZING. A couple sound bugs in the mix, but overall the performance was amazing -- and I got an interview too.
  1.
yea the afters [which i love] were actually in my town.. [which never happens] and they were great.

I'm STOKED though, The Afters are touring all around California in May/June, I'm hoping to spot some guestlist tickets, so we'll see. If not, I'll just go ahead and buy them since I want to see them again. I'm really excited though, I'm hoping to go to the concert on June 2nd in Hollywood :D
