I LOST MY WAY SWEET JESUS

I lost my way sweet Jesus
When I dishonored myself and more.
While all the time your ocean of truth
    Lay before me to explore.

Till angles call I pledge my soul
As a student of Heaven’s path.
Free from the bondage of human sin
    Escaping the desires of wrath.

I’m sick and tired of my performance,
I can’t stand feeling guilty anymore.
When I turned my back to Jesus
    Evil slipped beneath my door.

So here I am, “my sins exposed”
With no where for me to hide.
Whispering forth my prayers of faith
    feeling your presence inside.

    I drifted from you Master
My Sheppard of love and more.
I lost my way sweet Jesus
And I pray, “to become as before.”
